Description
Now we are in front of the Temple of Apollo...
sorry for all who wanted to see the "face" of this Apollo ;o)... I didn't find any good POV to shoot.
The old fountain is below the temple. A lovely open-air stage in those days, don't ya think so?
Hope you don't mind this little break in those colour shots and also hope you like this shot!
And Brain, as I've promised to you there won't be any running fountain this time *wink*
Thanks for your time!
And thanks also for viewing and commenting
on my previous shot Temple of Apollo

Great perspective, nice shot and one you wouldn't neccessarily associate with the ToA. Thanks for sharing!
I agree, the perspective is great! And I like the whiteness of the two girls up there
oh you mean a dry pan??;) Beautifully captured and a wonderful title.:O))
Perfect composition and as always the great eye for architecture.
A most stunning and beautiful black and white image! Gorgeous work Monika!

The B&W is very pertinent for this beautiful compo. Really astounding mood of the past, seems to hear ghosts of sounds from when this marvelous fountain was commonly used ! Thanks for sharing Monica.
Lol@Brain :D Wonderful shot, Moni.. somebody needs to turn the faucet back on ;) huggles
great b&w shot :-)
are we conserving water... a beautiful fountain, nice pov! :]
Hey - they turned it off, so Tedz could see it? How did you do that? I love the b/w!
Haha... sorry Brian for the wrong spelling... haha... depends on to muuuuuuuuach weisswein this evening... hehe... but looking at all your fantabulous artworks calling you Brain would also be right... just couldn't resist mentioning water... muuuuaaaah baiser
Excellent B&W photo, Monika! It has a great depth in it! Much hugz and kizzes, Tjeerd
I like the b&w...you've really caught the tone and texture perfectly...and the colours might have distracted from that.
Love the clarity and pure lightness of the figures, contrast so well with the deeper tones of the descending part of the fountain . Another wonderful shot of architectural beauty. Pity no water, but hey, can't have everything <<<<<<Lina
Nice symetrey & POV - you can get a feel for the the water flow :)
a superb B/W imge, Monika. excellent tonal range. !!!!!!!! #:O) !!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic photograph Moni! Excellent job!!
Love the B&W on this image. A most beautiful image. :))
Wonderful B/W photo. Lovely ladies perched at the top.
W&B is an excellent choice for this one ! I like the two white statues ! v
Beautiful B/W. Very well done.
Superb in B/W Monika.....I like ...vote
Nice B&W..
Hope it comes back in summer! Exquisite perspective. B&W certainly increases expression in this pic.
Awesome!!!
Very nice capture. The thumbnail fooled me. I thought it would be a staircase to some sort of altar. One forgets that tiered fountains are interesting when dry as well. At least this 'one' did. Thank you.
Fine art! Your composition is great. B/w was the right choice here! Perhaps I'd leave a little more room above the two heads. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful symmetry and depth in this one Moni!! hugz
A gorgeous fountain, Moni...I love the symmetry and the wonderful tones:)
