Description
"Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a parrot's life for me. A parrot's life for me, parrot's life for me!" squawked Chico, much to the chagrin of Pegwing Pete (formerly known as Captain BlackWing). He loves the rapscallion, but he just wishes he'd learn another song. Any other song.
If you'd like to know how PegWing Pete got in this mess, check out The Mishap of Captain BlackWing. You may notice in that picture that his patch is on the other eye. Should have known better than to trust a pirate! :)
Comments Welcome
HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY...
Thanks as always for looking, and your support. I appreciate it so much.
Poser/Photoshop/Vue
The good captain and the parrot was rendered in Poser, the background was rendered in Vue, then the beard and some other details were painted and color corrected in photoshop.

Heya, nice one ShadowWind!
.:Good One! Maybe u should look at making the trees in the background cleaner - just a thought - otherwise cool image!:.
Excellent job hon, although I do agree with triplexxx. The trees are the only thing I would fix, the rest is just perfect! hugz~jen :)
Awesome work!!! Excellent++++++++++++++++++!!!
ohhh.....Excellent work my friend..!!!!
Pegwing Pete! ROFL!! Very cool and fun. :D
wonderful work! squawk yo ho, yo yo squawk :D
Thanks for the tips triplexxx and squeeka. It would be difficult to fix the trees at this point due to a render crash, but will keep that in mind for the future.
This is such a fun image, he's got a lot of character, love the background!
Wonderful work Shadow! There is alot of personality in Pegwing Pete's face, especially in the look he is giving Chico. Chico looks as if he could just jump out of the image. Well done my friend! Have a great evening!...Cheryl
great work SW I love it .. interesting and fun ...
I like the trees in the background 'fuzzy' .... looks like when I take a 'telephoto' shot .... want the 'front' pic clear, and the 'background' blurred .... amazing concepts, as usual .... methinks I hear a 'Jimmy Buffett' song playing somewhere? .... hehe.... brian.
Awesome! LOL I just watched that movie with my grand child the other night.. OMG when they started sword fighting she mimicked the movements and came at me.. LOL What an actress.

I think I prefer the trees slightly out of focus - it adds depth to the picture. The picture as a whole is utterly charming.
Excellent portrait indeed, I like his expression!! :-)
Fantastic character, he has a great expression, I love the parrot too... Wonderfully done !!!
Awesome work ShadowWind! Effective use of soft lighting, textures, and perspective. Outstanding portrait!
So nice picture, I liked it. I've seen a lot of parrots in Hawaii, they were so lovely.
Oh, this is wonderful! You've captured such personalities in the pirate and parrot. Great title, too.:o) CC
Wonderful image!! :) Parrots are really smart birds - it has been discovered that they actually can understand some of the simpler concepts that they voice, so, they aren't complete imitators after all :) Happy Easter to you too, my friend :)
