Description
For the April theme in 2D Forum: Identity
I know my identity now is partly created in my childhood
When I look back, I look in a black hole
no memories before my teenage
Often that can make me feel as being in a void
The child in me lives so strong now
but who was she then?
Therefor the "striped me", parts are missing.
(On the other side, I have no memories that hurt :-)

very powerful image in my opinion. Excellent composition.
You know Gun, I am missing a year from my childhood. My first year of school, I have no recollection of it. The rest of my childhood is like a burning brand on my soul, so I do understand the stipes here. Very powerful work and very well done!
large feelings and thoughts, in word and picture. emotions which I divide with you . PUR EMOTIONS INSIDE VOTE Tender-Hugs your Gregor
OH.....Great idea...!!!powerful image gun...!!!! very well done!
All I can say, my friend, is that you are going in very deep...and powerful...I envy your ability to project such strong emotions and I admire your openness...you have a gift, for sure!
A great idea and very good realisation....
Very deep and emotional picture. You can always go through visible, showing what's inside... I love the way you've made this: the background you coming strongly through those black holes. Wonderful work, Gun!
Both bold & sensitive this is a striking piece, the juxtaposition of styles projects a feeling of strength & acceptance that appears stronger than the doubts & questions. Thoughtful & moving work Gun ; )
Powerful, evocative, a strong yet sensitive design that expresses your thoughts so perfectly. I have memories as far back as age 2-4, but there are still "empty places" in those memories, times I feel I am more of an observer than recalling. So many thoughts and ideas that now seem inaccessible.
This is very personal - It is somewhat difficult for me to seperate the emotion of the art vs the emotion of the personal - Which make me bias and would dicqualify my if ask to vote - Of course I alway enjoy your work :)
beautiful image and great art!!! thank you!
delightful and insightful! great work!
Excellent work of art!!! Wonderful composition and a beautiful and emotional concept!!! Well done!!!
A wonderful imagery Gun, I like the stripped parts, as they express the lost part of your life in a very dramatic way, It is a story within a story, one part of your life separated from the other part, and an acceptence of what life has brought you. A true part of your inner thoughts, that you share with all. I am glad that you do not retain any of the sad parts, and hope you find peace within <<<<<<<<<<
oh Gun this is so deep and emotional! And so creatively and skillfully done!! I don't have any childhood memories either, nothing before my teenage years, just like u! All I have is still images that come from photographies that I saw. When u say that at least, u have no memories that hurt, it's exactly why u don't remember! When something hurt, children tend to just forget! But it's no that good because how can u deal and learn to live with and accept something that u refuse to remember because it hurts too much? But surely u know all this, being an ex psychologist! Wonderful image Gun and very sad to me! :(
it seems my fav posting doesn`t work well. love your emotional composition so very much and want never missed one. superb work as always, Gun. !!!!!!!!! #:O) !!!!!!!!
aren't you a cutie!! & beautiful... absoluetly luv this retrospective... so much, would luv to copy it! :] wish i could forget some of mine, but it's made me strong & a bit warped...lol :]
many say that your mind black out the bad things so it will not hurt so bad. But my son and my freinds ask me " do you remember" things that is wonderful and fun but my mind still do not remember them> So the doctors lie to us what to do but keep on trucking
Excellent addition to the theme, the concept is so well executed it is really powerful. I seen you workthrough this one in the forum also, I enjoyed all the version and glad you added it to your gallery.
