Description
Smoky hued doors opened
Almost ethereal
Corridors and patterns
Weaved
Right and left~
First there was The Crying Room
many tears
The Crying Room had heard~
The Living Room was next
Irridescent roses
glowed and shimmered
through lacy curtains
and pale moonlight~
Next
was the room
Forgiveness and Sorrow
I shuddered to see their faces
The ones I had wronged
in this life~
Upstairs
Was the Thank You room
happiness
filled my heart
soft light
such a peaceful room~
Then came
The Dark Room
for the things I had done
in my life
that were inexcuseable
sinful~
And now that I have viewed these rooms
I feel inedaquate
and I hope for
A more pleasant journey
the next time
I visit
The House of Souls~

I wish to know what "House of souls" is about...Is it possible to go there in the meditation? I think - yes! Very nice poem, my dear! Excellent!!!

Excellent writing, and all true. We experience this in life, especially toward the end. Hopefully, there will at least be a balance. Thanks for sharing..
Beautiful poetry ... smooth and captivating. You have said much in few words and I hear a voice that flows. It was a wonderful read.

How about a 'writing room'? .... where someone can learn to write as well as you have just done! .... EXCELLENT!
Very simple words and very effective. you are soul stirer......;)
wow I just cant help but feel so inadequate and not sur I should even call myself a poet...maybe just a writer with a message....your innate ability to instantly draw your readers into your vision..excellent Susan..Laura:0))))))
An original approach to the facets of our individuality - what makes us who we are. I felt obliged to examine my own soul architecture after reading this ... which says much more directly how well the poem worked.
It's very hard for some to read between the lines of this poem, but the one's that can, it touches the soul, and has touched mine.
a poem which makes us face our own demons and choices we've made. this one makes us look in the mirror and see some bitter (and some not-so-bitter) truths! This poem is very powerful!
Wonderful and touching Susan. Your talent is obvious...Thanks for sharing.
