Description

Just a quick shot in the Circle Design UCL at some Colour By options.
In most UCLs you have to choose between colour by iterations, colour by distance, colour by angle, ... Here I have tried out to open all these options at once so that you can mix these options within the same layer.
All rays have a 95 degrees angle to their next neighbour, and with 72 rays I could cover the whole circle of 360 degrees.
There is a mix in the colour by options so that every ray has its own colouring...

I hope you can enjoy this quick and dirty game. It is not meant as a longtime favourite of mine (or of yours) but as a showcase of what I am working on in the moment...

I would like to thank everyone who enjoyed my images and/or commented on them. Feedback and constructive criticizm is always welcome. You even may suggest useful features for this UCL...
I am thinking about trying to create one solid object where the rays come out of the center and do not lie under it. But so far I have no idea how to merge the borders correctly...
I am still thinking about Lale's hint in my dreamcatcher image, but I can't find something that could replace the object in the upper right corner...

Wonderful optical plaything! When you look at it too long, the angles start changing and twisting your eyes. Fabulous work, can't wait to see what transpires.

well, if you look at it longer than two seconds you sure see at least two eyes and a lot of spikes... ;-)) no, seriously, this is interesting work!! :))

Wow, this really pops off the screen. It is incredibly bright and clear and has terrific geometry to it. Just excellent!

Well you lost me in the algorythyms but I love the result. Mathematical equasion never were my forte, But colour and style is some thing I can appreciate. Great work

The 95 degree angle is fascinating! It seems to make the spikes change shape if you are not looking directly at them!

Is this a beta formula you're using, Andreas? If so, I'm eager to try it. Love the shadow effect, and, as with most of your coloring algorithms, the color produced is rich, vibrant and wonderful. Great background pattern, BTW. :)
