Description
Ok, here's what I managed to do:
1~ I applied a sharpen filter to the whole image. This brought out the spirals in the foreground a bit more.
2~ I painted over the bright spot in the center bottom of the background, right at the water line.
3~ I softened the background, blurring it a little.
4~ I desaturated the background by a few degrees.
5~ I used the smear tool to blur the background a bit more.
6~ I tried to put in some more color (blues and greens), but it just looked yucky. :)
Any more suggestions from anyone? I'm really enjoying this! Thanks guys!

Wonderful re-work Elizabeth, you made it even more beautiful than before!
this looks as if a beautiful painting...rich in colour.
Gorgeous!! Stunning visual impact, beautiful colors!
Gorgeous colors! Looks like fireworks on the lake. Beautiful.
Simply outstanding! I like the changes, they were an improvement, the sharpness of the spiral elements Makes this very near perfection. Gorgeous work!
Gorgeous!!
I prefer this one. IMHO, blurring the background made the whole image more interesting,.
Beautifully done! The softening of the background really gets the spirals to "pop". Nice job!
Super, I like it a lot !!!!!
This is a great piece. I am thinking that there would be more depth if each of the spiral flames were progressively darker. A slight change to the gradient on each of the duplicate flames might make it more interesting too. That's not to say that I don't really enjoy this image. It's a beauty.
Wow! Love the colors in this. I think you did great at bringing the spirals out.
I am so pleased that everyone's helpful suggestions have enabled you to make your previous image so much more beautiful and impressive !
Wow, you really did a great job!
Beautiful density in these flames, and overall excellent composition. The placement of the spirals is great, your water ripples... they looks a lot more like molten steel rather than water, i absolutely love that effect. Great work!
