Description
The oak tree knot hole was made using the slice command. Since I didn't want the inner view of the tree to look like bark, I made a copy of the trunk area and reduced it for the remapped insides. The bark is an improved version using a combination of image map and procedural texture. The people are converted images (flats). While I have 3d versions of the same, I find flats more efficient to use when not doing animations. The oak leaves are also converted and mapped from an image file. The mouse at the bottom was a hack and slash job on a cat mesh! The ground object is just a plain, with points raised randomly. My fern patches did not render well in this scene. It was rendered over a background image found on the web.

It seems like you put loads of work into this image, but the end result was certainly worth it, it looks wonderful !

Thanks Bobby (and Thelma, who shared her secret freeware fractal program info with me!) I'm ashamed to say, I went back to cheating, deleting my mass of leaves, and just putting in my homemade oak branch, lol. I don't know what ZMESH is. Yes, please - try to draw them into the challenge, and if you or others need objects, just have them email me.
Belle image. J'aime bien l'escalier champignon :) Un petit halo autour des flammes serait bien aussi.
I'm lovin the mushroom steps. They really set this fine image apart.
Yes, Manuel - I agree the flames need work, but I try not to do post render paint prog fixes too often (somehow I feel like it's cheating, lol). These flames work well in animations, but definitely lack in stills. Thanks for the input!
