Description

I think it's great to do tributes to famous artist's work...as long as no part is copied. This would have looked a lot better if I had done that...:O) BUT, I wanted to get the essence, not the actual art. Lee Bogle is amazing. His art moves me. It is a bit abstract, very real, and he usually portrays very strong women. (My favorite theme) So, here's my tribute to this great artist. I know it needs more light on the skin in the lighted parts, but everything I tried wiped out this skin texture. That would be a shame, as it's an amazing texture in itself. I used "Nasha" by TamelaJ with Rhiannon's Jolie morph. I think she looks a little bit art nouveaux, too, but I like her. Oh, I made the background and painted the hair and clothes. That took a long time!!!

Stunning, just stunning! You could restore my interest in the pin-up. The expression is nothing short of devine. Please, don't worry about the lighting - as you say, her skin is too good to mask! You've done a really great job of the fabric and hair also. Its brightened my evening.

Oh, this is exquisite! I'm a huge fan of Lee Bogle. He not only paints strong women, but gorgeous romantic couples, which are my favs. He says he loves to paint women with their eyes cast downward, showing serenity. The art you have created is a lovely tribute to his work, and to your own artistry. Wonderful. :o) CC

Everything that everyone said about this image is right on. I agree wholeheartedly. If you want to lighten up parts of the image you might try this: (in Photoshop, other apps may vary a bit) duplicate the image into a new layer. Set the blending mode for that layer to SCREEN. Click on the icon to Add a Layer Mask. (if you push Option (on Mac) or ALT (I think on the PC) while adding the mask it will be inverted.) Then you can paint where you want the lightened areas to be. By adjusting the opacity of that layer you can make the effect more or less subtle. You can also duplicate again that Screened layer to stack the effects. Give it a try. (Also, same applies for darkening areas, only use Multiply for the blending mode instead of screen.)
