Description
These are the conditions that earn us the sarcastic name "The Wet Coast" This isn't a B&W shot, these are just the only colours in evidence. Days of rain and gales are not uncommon. Seems a pretty decent winter though, when we remember the people who gave us the name are enjoying a chill factor of -45C. Love that rain and wind. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

we finally got some rain here, been so very dry, it makes the most wonderful noise on the metal roof... but no way is it that cold!! & your wind is whipping that poor tree into a frenzy! luv your view too :]
Wonderful wind-shape of that lonely tree, great composition, I can feel the cold!
BRRRR! That's windy! Great photo though! :-)
Similar to the Cornish coast of the UK at present Jim. Get that soup on mate, it's damn chilly out here...and what the heck are you doing out in that kind of weather anyway???
perfect blk & white, for this stormy shoot, perfection yet again, well color wouldn't do much good when one of these hit, there's no color, thats one things I don't miss, is the dampness I do miss the storms, well the ones that didn't last for days on end, this is beautifull shoot, it's so hard to get one when it's storming like that there, beautifull job thanks for shareing with us all, that kind of storm you thought you'd never get warm again, lol fireplace a must!!!

LOL it certainly looks a great blustery day...could be England:P Great shot Jim:)
beautiful atmosphere you've captured.
Could be here too .. except for that ocean ... Still love that place, even though that bad weather. Thanks for sharing Jim!! :)
Wonderful scene. The shape of this tree is evidence of the wind in this area. Beautiful to see, but this kind of weather gets to your bones.
Now that is really bad weather, eh? That tree is amazing! Great shot, Jim!
A wonderful shot.... I must admit I did like the thumbnail too as an image... that tree is fascinating.... maybe play around with different crops to isolate the tree as the subject?
Nice one! Love a nice rainy, windy day every now and then! This captures that moment perfectly!
Looks like it is really windy there by the looks of that tree! I can see whitecaps on the water too. We get gales here but they are usually associated with really hot weather and hurricanes. Excellent shot there, don't get blown away OK?
Why does this meke me think about a cold and strong wind?
