P.S: For all of you who commented on my last Character Study, I will get to them soon. Things have been kind of hectic here. I appreciate your patience...Cheryl
Excellent artwork, Cheryl!! The emotion in his eyes is fantastic!! One of your best!!!
Looks like one of Charlie Sheen's characters. The mountains bring out different forms. I am a collector of the "hunker."
This is so beautiful, Cheryl!! I agree with Rick, you have captured so much emotion in his eyes!! Superb work of art!! vote

Quite wonderful Cheryl the song in particular adds extra poignancy to your artwork. And for me having been to countries as part of an Aid team where children were dying from starvation it touches my heart..
Happy new years my friend, again as always your images inspire and enlighten me with every line. So much heart is in your work, we all should feel the art as you do.
A wonderfully touching, presentation, Cheryl, very well done, my friend.
Wow Cheryl... it looks like it must have taken FOREVER to get the clothing on this one! I love the facial expression, but for some reason I find myself completely intriqued by how you did the clothes. Brave sweetie, great drawing once again!!!
You really brought out the wear and tear on this young one. Very penetrating gaze, super work Cheryl!

Sorry I am so late in looking at this very cool work. What really catches my eye is the magnificent and very emotional eyes that really sets the tone of the portrait. Excellent emotion and drawing as always...Happy New Year and Hope 2004 is a great one and full of peace and happiness for you and yours...
oh, absolutely wonderful drawing, this beautiful correspond with this poems, thank you my friend!! v
Seems like a year has gone by since I have visited your gallery and commented on your fine pencil works - then after thinking about it - Lo and Behold, it is a year, at least a new year as my last visit was in November of 2003...lol. The young boy reminds me of an old photo taken of an Apache boy, many of whom were certainly older in appearance than their literal years. Regardless of the subject matter Cheryl, you have definitely captured a most captivating portraiture. I love and appreciate the time and effort you have spent in the small details and the blanket/jacket is textured beautifully. I am also very impressed with the excellent border where it appears even as an optical illusion of being on top of the drawing (casting a shadow) until the bottom right-hand corner flips up to reveal your copyright information - gorgeous touch - excellent work young lady.
