Description
This sketch was accomplished with
H, HB, and 2B pencils. I then took
it into PSP8 and added a pattern
texture on his robe and darkened
the color a bit. The Roses, Frame
by me, gradient background with
applied smudge brush and the brown
color on his Robe were all done through
PSP8.
The photo, from the Library of Congress
Public Domain images, was originally
photographed by Edward S. Curtis on
01/06/1905. This life, at least for me,
is found in the character of the face.
She gave much to her people and should be
honored for it.
I hope you are enriched by your time here
and by this series.
Thank you for stopping by!...Cheryl

Excellent+ image, all those details; very well done..V.
I recognize the expression as one I've seen on someone younger who graduated from Vanderbilt University. Here as a decision is being made about her the expression contributes the entire form. This is the decision in it's full and complete form.
Well done cheryl, the expression is execellent, and you can just see the character in her face, another fine portriat done by your talanted hand....John
Interesting composition, excellent artwork!!!
Very expressive drawing and great technique ! Congratulations friend !
Wonderful work Cheryl! The expression is fantastic and the technique you used throughout is remarkable.
What a great job you have done with this. To me it's saying, "I will do what I must do." And certainly that's a character trait to be admired. Thank you for sharing.
She has that farway and contemplative look that people who have seen very many things tend to develop, its a very sympathetic drawining and lovely.
