Description
This is what would happen to the Earth should the sun instantly implode. This however unlikely due to the fact that the sun should go through many other stages like expanding beyond the Earth therefore blowing it to pieces or vaporizing it can not be ruled out as a cataclysmic event. Each individual atom would be stretched like a rubberband only past it's breaking point and the closest side stretches fastest.
