Description
'Log: James Hicks-Ripley Gen-Clone 9454541, Cptn, Colonial Marines, 2nd Brigade Section 4, 'Ripleys Rippers'.
Last time I was here on GK1041 was when I was just out of training, since then they've finished the terraformer and the transport tube out there, it's working about 5 klicks away, raising the seabed. This island is the largest of 40 in the archipelago so HQ (nicknamed 'Wetbed' by the pfc's) is 90% underground, moral is low and demand for the surface posts is high, even just to be the gun operator and hold onto the deadmans switch for a 2 hour shift is being set by rota.
The brain guys at central reckon there's a 97% chance of the hive trying to infest this water covered rock, I just hope they don't manage to host on the 100ft Barracudas that this place has. We haven't seen sign of hive activity yet............'
Made in Bryce 5, a little post in photoshop, dropship and cargo lifter from the movie mesh site. All the volume lights meant this one took 6 days to render.

6 days?! Well worth the wait. Awesome image, great work.
Your work is definately getting better.....I like this and the story line. Big fan of Alien myself.
I'm another Aliens fan, 6 days is awful long to be away from your computer. Good work Gog!
Very elaborate scene! I love all the little details! The front loader doing some heavy lifting, that trasport tube! Great stuff!
