Description
Captain Garth orders the phaser control room to fire in "burst mode" at the Mars target range during the shakedown trials of USS Constitution.
Note: In the episode "Balance of Terror" the terminology had still not been set down for the writers. Kirk said "Phaser one, fire" and an optical was later put in over the filming model showing a "white blob" which was later used as the effect shown for photon torpedoes.
