Over a hundred million years ago...a water-filled footprint, left by a large carnivorous dinosaur, reflects the moon. The moon was much larger and brighter back then, because it was closer to the Earth. Grasses had not yet evolved, but ferns had. Familiar trees, such as maple, were much smaller than they are now. This was my entry for Vue d'Esprit 2003 "Moonlight Reflection" contest. The challenge was to show the moon reflecting in water other than a lake, river, or ocean. Also, no imports were allowed - just what came with the program or what you could model within it. Which was very limiting, since I tried to only used plants that would have (or at least might have) existed back then. I had originally planned to import an image of a dinosaur footprint, and use that to model a terrain, but decided that would be a violation of the rules. So I drew it on my Wacom instead, and it actually came out better.
