Ever more closer
This is the 3rd image in my 4 picture series showing the USS Yorktown as it approaches Io. The view is looking forward down the spine and the command module Lafayette as Io nears for its first close encounter with a manned vehicle from earth. The model was created in Bryce 5 from scratch, all concepts and designs by me. The image of Jupiter and Io are from JPL/NASA. The starfield was created using Universe, postwork done in Photoshop. Thanks again for viewing and commenting on my work.

wow - fantastic sci-fi scene - way to go
The detail in the modelling is incredible. I dread to think how long it must have taken to put together and I should think you must have a pretty decent machine to render it on. But the effect is well worth it. Love the composition too, drawing the eye down the spine of the ship to the destination.

Excellent modeling as usual!! A lot of people wouldn't go that far with softwares costing many times more... You should spend some time working on the textures. It will life to your renderings!

David, your modeling and artwork are just amazing! I am really impressed - is it possible to download somewhere your 3D space ships models? I would like to use some of them for my SF scenes.
