I remember seeing these vases in a store and really liking their form; the long curved lines reminded me of mating swans with thier elegantly long thin necks; hence the name.
This was an 8 hour radiosity render with one mostly black glowdome that had one one very small area that I specifically designed in my image editor (PhotoImpact) to give off a highly concentrated light when applying a very high glow factor to it, yielding the heavy diffused lighting effects you see above.
Post work included removing some (a few, but not many) artifacts resulting from the process, and then a slight color adjustment to taste.

Beautiful and highly suggestive. Also really interesting and thoughtful use of that black skydome. I'll have to try that in Cinema4D! The effect is stunning!
