well first, that halo is WAY too bright. Use a volumetric point light inside the planet with it's radius set to just brim across the outer edge (get used to using viper). OH yeah, also, despite all the movies, you can't see the stars from space. Your cirrus cloud layer is bloody great though, I'd love to know where you got that from
Beautiful image!!! its down under for real!!!
very nice, definitely home sweet home
Image Maps are from Nasa "Blue Marble" site.
I agree, you wouldn't be able to see the stars at all with that bright full Earth taking up half the sky. Still, nicely done!
bugger reality, the stars are needed! halo is a wee bit bright, how did you do your clouds? nice image!
Great stuff. Looking forward to much more!
Freakmoomin@ Cloud layer from blue marble in the luminosity channel then add realfresnel shader.
Awesome looking, I agree on the halo just a bit bright and add a little tint of blue.
Cool work !!!
And what a beautiful island it is! Nice work, now i know another Aussie! :P
very nice planetary image! I appreciate your use of Australia rather than the North American or African continents that appear in so many Earth from orbit images.
