She is the Missionary's Daughter, coming from home, a long way away now, to join her father.
The voyage has been long, but is nearing its end. She can see this far off strange land now, she is excited and apprehensive - what can she expect. She is the Missionary's Daughter, she will adapt and help her father - she may even find romance.

I think the crewman on the left is a little too interested...She has the demure look of a young girl raised in a sheltered environment. Very well done.
