Description
I did NOT think of Christ when I made it,
but when I see it now I can get that association too.

I see what you mean - these happy accidents ;-)
I get a claustrophobic feeling here, but not an unpleasant one... it's as though she's engulfing herself in sheets of plant material on a summer's day. Something definitely sensual, dripping in natural juices.
i want to say that the image is lyrical, but is that a subliminal message from the title - i don't know -i like this very much ...
You gave more feeling and fantastic mood into image!! I like one!!
I did not think of Christ either interestingly enough. What I think of is the euphoric effects of drugs and the transition into dopamine drained deprivation. This image sums up both the good and the bad. Excellence indeed....
To me it looks like the tragedy of addiction. Once the tragedy is complete you are no longer ruling yourself and you know it. Your crown does indeed become a curse as you know it to be ineffectual... a symbol of what you have lost. Remarkable and profound gun. Easily one of my favorites.
Excellent artwork!!
Very impressive image ! Excellent composition and very creative ! Excellent realization ! Congratulations !
strange. I thought of christ right away..ponders that for a moment. For some reason I dont see the tragedy as much as I see the solitude. It may be the expression on the face Im experiencing, and I am also seeing its not gender-specific,more like omniperson, its a curious piece, maybe I am over thinking this.In any event, its an image that has captured my thoughts and for that well done.
Impressive indeed. Bravo!
This is a very thought provoking image Gun! I don't see Christ either but entanglement & escapism, helpless desire.... maybe I'm seeing addiction too. Great emotional expression.
Extremly good emotional deep image, that burns into the brain. Excellent is not high enough for stuff like this.
What an excellent image! Brilliant idea and amazing execution. Wow.
a very powerful image... some real feeling swelling from the subconscience.. it is always nice to look at a finished work and realize a bit of meaning as if someone else was driving your pencil or mouse.. well done :)
also in the suffering there's good - very very deep, quite Dave McKean - a coincidence, yes, but... yes, i would like to do this
i saw Christ in my first impression- musta been from all the parochial schooling- wonderful textures in this & expression
I see definitely a religious impacthere, but not as immediate as one could imagine. The eyes wander amazingly and makes teh body feels the pain and the sufference, quite like a relief. a martyrium, more than the crux's sacrifice. intensively meaningful :)
Verkligen fantastiskt bra, Gun! Inte bara bilden associerar till Kristus utan en namnet ser en hel del. Kanske har du blivit inspirerad :)
A super image Gun, With so many interpretations a image to set the mind racing Im sure if the thorns were glowing dayglow then it would have a very SF feel to it. :0 )
