Nice dynamic pose here, and wonderfully true to the character. I like how your judicious use of shadow and highlight gives the character some depth, but is still in keeping with the cartoony stylization that gives this pic so much charm. As points for improvement, on the forward arm, the forearm seems too big for the upper arm, kind of Popeye-ish (especially in contrast to the other arm, which doesn't show this difference). The forward fist could also be clenched tighter; it's not reading as him grasping the web strongly. Also the pelvic region; his legs are in a good dynamic pose, but I'm not seeing any anatomical structure at the joining, so much that it's hard to tell which leg is in front. Other than those nits, great stylization, drawing, and coloring! Very professional looking!
for one of your first uses of PS, this is really impressive! i agree, great pose, very dynamic.
laura-i gave him a buttcrack, but it looked too weird, so i blacked it out. and jtron, i'd been screwing around with photoshop for about a year before i got to this point. my first GOOD use of it. thanks!
dude - that rules lol. I'd suggest u Post it in the digi comics gallery tho. The colours are wicked - that must be one of the first gradient backgrounds i've seen that actually works! ;)
