Description
the rainy period is over and the old river is atrophied to a small rill.
but he knows that this happens every year.
he will come back, reborn with power and might.
he's sending his greetings to the last clouds before he dies.
and he's looking forward to their return and to the return of his best friend, the rain.
Then he will go on into the next cycle in the
Circle of Life
Well, I'm not really happy with the "crackles in the mud", it's obviously an overlay...

I see what you mean about the "cracks" - they have a geometric pattern, but nice shadows, texture & POV. It looks like the river water was spilled - interesting effect.
