Description
The incredible model of the castle was the starting point of this image. The building is "George's Fairytale Castle" by "zippy" in the Poser freestuff - thank you so much!
********
Vue 4 with some imported objects (freestuff from various sources), foliage textures by me. 2 lights (the sun and a blue point light behind the camera for "ambience effect"). Rendered in "Ultra" - colour correction etc. in Photoshop.
I had some problems with the atmosphere, it seems Vue doesn't handle "distance and haze" too well, it has a tendency to make e.g. distant mountains look white and almost glowing. Figured it out though, IMHO.

UPDATE: I decided to adjust the hue/saturation etc. in order to enhance the fantasy-style already present. (The original version had more saturated, bright colours).

this is a very interesting fantasy-style image... the castle looks gorgeous. :)
I prefer the new coloring. Well done.
Nice work. I like the effect you did get in the background. For me it brings the castle out in a subtle way, but gives it just the right touch for realism. Great job!
Great job here; I like the path, and the "woodsy" feel to the front of the image. I think the haze is what makes the mountains white in some atmospheres...drives me nuts too, lol!
Wow! (vov pdansk? ;) hehe... Der er en magisk stemning i det her billede.. VOV! ;)
I like this it is like the illustration for a "once upon a time"...story...a portal to a story about the kingdom where.....long ago...
Wonderful magic picture!!!
ooo pretty....
A great fantasy image and that castle is perfect. I also like how you invite the viewer further into the image to maybe explore the castle.
Wonderful scene! The castle is very beautiful! Excellent lighting, vegetation and textures. Very well done!

I'm so happy that you like this work. The castle is very inspiring to work with - I'm already making a new scene with it.
I don't know why you are thanking me. I thank you for being a part of such a beautiful render.
