This was going to go in my Photo Gallery but I have been playing around with some new Filters and rather liked it!

the old lighthouse still stands, but the light that shines is dim, the keeper's there slowly climbing the steps 2 tend the light in all its mystery and beauty, a vastness that defies description!

fine picture, quite a landmark..lighthouses are always popular, guiding beacons in the storm.
The standard is high on lighthouses with one once being in the seven wonders of the world. This image then is cool, clever and stands in historic significance evoking that long ago lost type.

Very very interesting image Danny. I could be wrong, but I sense a very strong philosophical statement to this image, more so since this terrible Iraqi conflict has begun and so many lives have been forever altered. It's as if your lighthouse is a beacon of 'Hope' in a dark time, with the red cross like symbol representing man's never-ending dreams for peace and the safe return of loved ones. Like I said - I'm likely so far off base here that I'm not even playing in the same ball park - but this was my impression - and as nearly every artist knows, our work is a success if it inspires thoughts and interpretations. Congratulations Danny - this image does exactly that!
