Good texture to the soft feathers. Color of lorikeets sampled as Helmholz might have done.
A nice change of pace. He is very pretty. I'm no expert, but looks like a great job of painting to me. Looking for more.
I forgot to say while trying to load thumbs 5 or 6 times!! Nobody told me the size was smaller! I did some postwork to retouch the paint that had washed a little unevenly and also to enhance the lighting a bit with some softening with the blur tool in Photoshop. I have done a few more so thanks everyone for the positive and helpful comments. I agree about the eye needing some light.

Ahhh... yes... very nicely done... this is a beautiful watercolor... have not attempted a full watercolor as to yet and I think it is about time to do so... always been partial to oils... (a little more forgiving) .. Thanks for posting this piece and look forward to seeing more :)

I'm with Bob here Danny...Outstanding work. I love the watercolor look and feel to the entire image, but especially the parrot. I have always been impressed by your work, and am so happy to see you branching out in another area. It just expresses the abilities we all knew you had...and are so blessed to share in. I do love that cocky look in his eyes and the tilt of his head...almost like saying "You looking at me...?"
