To dare to dream Saturday, February 1st 2003 will always be remembered for the men and women who dared to dream of the limitless possibilities of what the future could hold for all of us here on earth. Now, as we take time to reflect on this tragedy, we look up into the heavens and envision the beginning of the greatest journey for all of humanity; the conquest of space. These astronauts knew the risk but, were willing to take it because they knew in the end the benefits outweighed the inherent dangers of their mission. We, as a nation must now reaffirm our commitment to this dream, and to forge ahead, never forgetting the sacrifice these brave few have made for us all. In the past 24 hours I have heard many interviews from family, friends and colleagues of their wishes, hopes and dreams of going to Mars so; I now dedicate this series of images to the memory of the crew of the space shuttle Columbia. God speed, our thoughts and prayers will always be with you. David
