This one is a "take it with a grain of salt" creature. Rumored to be the result of a woman known as Mother Leeds, already having 12 children, when finding out she was pregnant with her 13th, she cursed it saying, "let it be the devil then!" Right after being born, it grew horns, hooves, wings and flew away after beating the family with its tail. Never the less, there have been many sightings in the New Jersey Pine Barrens of a strange and deformed creature with wings and horse-like head. Myth or not, such stories start somewhere.
