Sehr hübsch gemachte, stimmungsvolle Sonnenuntergang Szene.
Vielen dank, Horo
Beautiful sunset. The lighthouse keeper is lucky to have such nice accommodation as well - looks most inviting. :-)
Yes, a bit small, but surely cozy :)
Beautifully composed scene with fine use of light and color along with effective use of atmosphere. Of particular note is the wonderful softness of the shadows. Did you increase shadow ambience to achieve this effect?
Thanks a lot. I just enabled soft shadows in the premium render; that’s perfectly sufficient for this lighting.
There are many stories that the man in this image could tell you, but the one I would make up is that this is his last day on the job as he has been the lightkeeper of this lighthouse for 30 years and is now facing retirement.
During his time here, he has seen many things but the one thing he never grew tired of, was viewing that beautiful light shining up above towards the rocks below, as that often turned out to be the highlight of his day!
How is that for tying in your title with the image in my simple amateur story Lordy? lol :)
I like it. The lighthouse has been switched to automatic mode. It’s a bit sad, but a billionaire has already offered it a new job—on a planet just for billionaires ;)
Fantastic work!
thanks so much, starship64
Excellent
Thank you, anitalee
Awesome.
Thanks a lot, Gisela
Well done ...
Thanks a lot, my friend
You sure have mastered light and shadows! Another nice one:-)
And I also noticed the seagulls;-)
Thanks, max-. Yeah, those were an important little detail for me here :D
Cheers ...
Fantastic job 👍🙋♂️
Thanks, my friend
and then (coming off the image of that new world with the orbs on tree trunks), there's just real life. A quiet, reflective, peaceful scene by the water. A lighthouse and cottage. And a couple of gulls (I assume) quietly watching the sunse along with the man. Beautiful image. The arid empty soil gives the perfect 'ground' for the scene. And one of your signature bright yellow-gold lights coming from the sun. A very bucolic piece. Makes us want to be there...
(gulls btw---when we studied animal calls (as musicians) they told us the gull call was one of the loudest and most obnoxious of the group. Guess what: It is. Compared to a robin or nightingale? Gulls are the mafia hitmen of the specie. Loud and vulgar, they eat whatever they can get their beaks into, they "mob"---that's what ornithologists call it---and they're embarrassing at parties. These gulls, however, came from good families...you must have good connections...)
Thanks a million, Mark. Yeah, seagulls aren't exactly quiet neighbors. But I have to admit, whenever I vacation in Ireland, it’s just part of the experience to have those guys wake you up in Dublin with their squawking before you even get out of bed :) These ones here are just catching their breath or waiting for their friends so things can get really loud ;)
