Description
A study of motion, light and atmosphere.
I wanted the horse to feel as if it were cutting through something more than simple dust, somewhere between glowing haze, smoke and airborne earth caught in warm backlight. The strong light from behind was meant to set the mane and tail on fire, while the softer light from the opposite side keeps the body grounded and readable.
The background gradually became less of a place and more of a sensation: heat, movement, suspended particles and the brief violence of a body passing through still air.
Created as an atmospheric equine artwork focused on movement, warm light and painterly depth.
Rendered in DAZ Studio 4.21 with DAZ Horse 3, using Malopolski for DAZHorse3 from my store and Easy Mane&Tail for the mane and tail. The background was hand-painted in GIMP.
