I think this one actually has a high chance of existing. If a Great White was born as melanistic, which has never been known to happen, it would have a distinct advantage in the deep water in the Gulf of California. Its a rich marine life area, and if viewed from above, a black shape would be barely visible, making its hunts more successful, and it would be able to hide better. That means it could possible grow larger and live longer than general great whites. I don't know that it would hit 60 feet, but it could reach that fabled 30 foot length.
