Now I understand what you meant in your comment on my "Waiting for my man..." set... It was a total coincidence that I came up with the idea for a sniper series at roughly the same time as you, but I assure you, you weren't the one who gave me the idea! 😇 As for the video itself: there’s really no need to say anything more about the quality; anyone who has seen it would agree with me that it’s a success in every aspect. Both the core concept and the execution are flawless, and I really like the music choice this time around (I’m a fan of piano music, including classical). By the way, did I understand correctly—did anahata play that himself?

My goodness, if I could play an instrument even remotely that well, I’d probably do nothing else; I’d most likely even cut back on my activities here on RENDO. 😄😎

Thank you for the comment Courtray and yes Mark really did play the music I am featuring in this video. Mark really should have gone all the way to become a classical concert pianist in my opinion...he is that good, but then again he has many other artistic talents to share with us on this site. :)

I always am frustrated when i'm watching your incredible videos : what could I say in order to be original and to express what I think ? Here, I'm speechless (if I can say so !) this is so prefect. The pianist and is music are real, Jane Bond is as dangerous as can be (and so pretty !), the audience really enjoys this great piece of music. Some (tiny) details are fascinating, like the nail of the killer when she's about to press the trigger...a big bravo.

Hi Johnny. First, I am truly moved by the painstaking work you put into this, and for many weeks as you say...and thank you for the beautiful words you wrote. I'm not sure I deserve this, but it means the world to me, truly. And doubly because you put so much blood, sweat and tears into all your works. And this video shows it yet again.

I saw it three times, so here comes another deadly detailed comment, lol. I'll try not to make it a book...

You have the hues and lighting and the whole 'feel' of the concert hall. You got it, pat. (Note: Most of my public work was in smaller halls; or---with jazz---it was in clubs. But I've been to a million concerts; so I know the concert hall well.) You start from a distance, and pan in; and then you stay at the keyboard, moving from face to hands to the wonderfully reflective key cover. You move the way a professional concert film-maker moves. It's pro all the way. Watch any classical piano video on youtube: You'll see.

And you were so attuned to the changes in the music: At the main melody, the woman appears. At the first change of key, she reverses her direction. (If you don't know what "change of key" means, don't worry: It's a change, and that's all that matters.) The next high point in the music? A closeup of her weapon (ie: tension in the music = tension in her setup.)

When the main melody returns, the woman's victim appears. With a transition in the music, you do these amazing transitions, visually: The car-reflections move in the windows (below the victim); and then the whole city moves behind the trigger of the woman. I can't help it: That's cinema. You do these things all the time in your videos, it just knocks me out. Your camera makes a music of its own.

When the concert's over, and the choral music begins: They meet. And (I hope I can say this right) by not showing the assassination, it's as if the musc has shown it to us, itself. (Remember, this etude is called "The Revolutionary Etude"---ie, it's tempestuous; and you let it tell the story too.) So we feel that the man, while playing, is almost "performing" the heavy tensions of the story (capturing the woman's dire task). You pulled together two very different storylines via one piece of music: Bravo. (That's what they say in classical concerts. I guess they don't wanna yell "far out!") This juxtaposition is hard to pull of in 'any' medium, but you did it here in a short video. I joke when I say "I'd love to see the longer version" (ie, the 2-hour version): But it's only part-jest. Because you have the eye and feel of a film-maker. This is terrific, Johnny.

A word on me becoming a concert pianist: It's hard to believe, but most trained classical musicians never get to the concert level...it's extremely difficult to have the years of 24/7 training, and the means to continue it uninterrupted, the sponsors to get you to the competition phase, or the means to make it through the early concert years (when you're paying much of the expenses). It's a surprizingly small percentage of trained pianists who get to that elite phase, because many (like me) had to work, others couldn't sustain the years, etc. But do I wish I'd have been a concert pianist? There isnt a day when I don't think of it...it's a sweet yet painful memory; like those of ballet dancers who never got to the top positions around the world; or violinists, etc. It's bittersweet. But I have great blessing of having lived in that world; and it will always be a jewel to me. And your treatment of it makes me all the more joyous. Thank you so much, Johnny; and you should take the bow before all of us, because your work and your devotion to others are simply superb. So the bravos go to you.

OH MY GOD!

I know I've been MIA for most of this year, but I HAD to stop and have a look at this. I'm beyond glad I did. Johnny, this is absolutely brilliant, and I can't think of anyone that deserves this more than Mark! He has been a rock wall of support for me and many others here on Renderosity. Indeed he has left many amazing comments on my artworks that have made me feel fantastic, and encouraged me to keep going during difficult times (like now). He's a wonderful friend to many of us.

I am totally blown away by Mark's performance - a concert pianist... I had no idea. He is indeed a multi-talented artist, and a fantastic pianist! WOW!

And you did an amazing job on this wonderful "Bond-esq" video, good sir! Looks like she gets the job done - and I can think of another target she can take out. No names, though..

This is great work I love the way you got the fingers to move on the keys your understanding of animation is the best I have seen here on this site. The music was great the piano is a much harder that the organ to play my thanks to you for up loading this fine work. It's cool to see that while he was playing, some parts inside the piano were moving. That AI was obviously trained to look a piano in action. Definitively 2 ways to see life, I hope the pianist won't be in her "watch" list at the end.

I thank you for stopping by to take a look Caty and yes the AI seems like it was well trained on a piano, as I was surprised at how well the piano keys moved when his fingers touched the keys. As far as her having him on his watch, it may only be as an attraction towards him and not as a professional assassin.
