Klasse Serie. Diese Karusselle haben was. Ist vielleicht nicht schön was da passiert ist (ist auf keinen Fall schön) aber die Tierwelt wird sich freuen.

This series of images have such an apocalyptic look to them...its amazing that so much of the wildlife was able to survive the doom that fell upon that part of the world.

Frankly, I was also very surprised that the contaminated area—where human entry is strictly prohibited and likely will remain so for years to come—has turned into a kind of refuge for all sorts of wildlife seemingly unaffected by the radiation: rabbits, foxes, deer, and wild boars can apparently live there permanently without showing any outward signs of impairment. No one is going to hunt them—or wants to—since the meat wouldn't be fit for consumption anyway! In this respect, humans have unintentionally created a place where animals are safe from human pursuit.

Schön und schrecklich zugleich. Manche der Bilder erinnern mich an den Film "Der Stalker" von Tarkowski

big apocalyptic drippy cataclysmic images...i love how some images are "dripping" with debris. And as for the wildlife (lordi, johnny and you)...maybe in time those animals will die young, or show signs of radiation etc (if one looked closely). I know that, after Hiroshima's bombing, vegetation grew in surprisingly large (and fast) quantity. It's amazing how debris has a strange lushness all to itself. And the amusement park --- which I think was never opened? I don't remember --- makes such a striking image in all this loss. Powerful images.
