Description
Today, some tapestries to show you. All photos, sometimes from several years ago.
This one is from the end of XVth century. Made of natural colors, it's a miracle there are style the red one (natural colors are fragile under certain UVs from the sun).
It's the oldest tapestry from the museum having it.

Neat looking tapestry. Nice photo of it!
This is lovely.
great work 👍🙋♂️
Looks like symbols of royalty, or at least of royal houses. The decoration is very XVth Century (as you point out). And yes, it's amazing these colors lasted this long. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to restore tapestries like this.
Very intense design. And the unicorn had lots of significance for the time. (Purity, innocence, even Christ.) A really intense tapestry!
Indeed for the signification of the unicorn; even immortality. This one wasn't restored, it's true colors from its time, just saved from the sun. The only thing done here was to add a fabric behind to avoid any friction with the support.
The family wasn't from Royalty, just usual nobles from around the middle of the country. De Chabanne family.
