Hello everyone, today I have a special tribute I made for Steve "Eekdog" as most may know him by his user name. Steve has been a pillar of strength in our Renderosity community throughout the many years since I have been coming here. This video is a form of appreciation to Steve, for everything that he has ever done for this community which he affectionately calls his Renderosity family.
This video serves as a tribute to his dedication in keeping this community as united as he could possibly make it with his splendid "Poser Gurlz" art covers that he has been making here on a monthly basis for the past 11 years and 140 monthly issues to date. I chose the cover of the July 2021 #79 issue to make this video.
Steve is going through a rough period with the loss of his dear mother recently and I have nothing but my best wishes for better days ahead for him.

It's really great to see how people respond to you... big, big appreciation...Your videos feel like actual films, made with cast and crew, or made at an actual event. And they're made as if you were there, w/ large crew, etc. Your arduous work pays off.
this has all the earmarks of a concert video. I like the Eekdog arena---through the car window---with p/gurlz as the main event. (And it's raining. Film makes use rain in night scenes to make everything "shimmer" because light reflects off of it everywhere. Same effect here. ((Even when there's no rain, they'll turn on huge sprinklers before hand, to leave everything covered in water, so it'll shimmer. You've done this in previous videos---the lordi android and t.bear has water covered streets. You do it professionally.) And nice to start with a trip to the concert: Ie, nice intro.
Then the walk to the theater. When I played jazz gigs, I of course NEVER had crowds, or anyone lined up as we entered. But you do get a feeling---when playing a club---that suddenly everyone is looking at "you": It is kind of an out-of-body experience. It takes getting used to! But in rock concerts, that's what happens. She walks like Moses separating the Red Sea! You got it to the tee---ie, the promenade, the crowd cut in two, the adoring fans, and she stopping to sign some autographs, etc. You have her walking like a queen.
But then a great camera shift (I luuuv these moments): You shift to where she's no longer walking 'at' us but away from us---swivel, shift, boom. Maybe a small thing, but it's the kind of motion that marks a really good director. It's "turning a corner," so we now see her from the back. Very smooth, sir J. (Your camera person must be using a steadicam---no bobbing, no "cinema verite" choppiness: This isn't a conflict laden documentary: It's smooth as silk. Very sweet, Johnny.)
The concert has the shots that make a genuine pro concert film: Angled shots. Swiveling around, in other shots. She sometimes smiles, sometimes is in concentration. In the last shots, you include her band, spread out so that she remains the star. And the audience has candles, a real pop phenom.(Ya don't see that in classical concerts, lol. Omg. The conductor would throw a s---t fit. Even in jazz you don't see it. But w/ pop, it's a sign of love.) Her singing is in total sync with the soundtrack. Annnnd...she holds up the guitar every so often---a gesture by musicians of acknowledging the audience, or just of celebrating. And she does it at the end, which is a kind of bow. Point is, you got all the features of a pro-made concert film, woven in naturally. Ie, you got this medium 'down'! You got it.
Finally, you pay your homage to the artist, in the last shot. I looked up that issue just to see the original (it's a few years back)---I have no idea how you take a still---and a profile to boot---and turn it into animation; but it's beautifully done. And a wonderful tribute to Steve in your words, along with a bow to his great loss. Beautifully done as always, Johnny. And your fans are right on board...(do they have lit candles? you should put up a sign: No live candles in my gallery! Don't wanna burn down the site...)
My sense of time is way off---candles and lighters haven't been legal in rock concerts for years! Sorry! Shows you how long it's been since I've been to a rock concert! (Would you believe the Grateful Dead?) Your audience was using lights, ok? Ignore my remarks about candles...

Cool arena name to begin ;) That girl is also lucky to have such disciplined fans, not sure they still are that way nowadays. But that way, she can makes huge salles and even why not a world tour. Maybe with Kiss? If they can follow her rythm
A most excellent video my friend! You've come a long way to get to where you are today. This is a very fine dedication to Eekdog! I remember telling my wife (may she rest in peace) years ago about some day computers would be able to generate full blown movies with all the details including all the nuances involved in peoples motions and expressions and I have lived to see it happening. I've viewed many videos on YouTube this past year that are mini-series with excellent story lines and characters you can't tell are not real. The detail is so incredible from the perfect lip sync to the flowing hair and the realistic expressions. I can't get over it. I don't know how much of your video here was assisted with ai, but however you created it, you knocked it out of the ball park my friend! Always a pleasure to view your incredibly fine talents!
