This morning, one of our dearest and most loving members lost his mother.
Steve (eekdog) lost his dear mother, after several days of struggle. It's so painful to see that (I know), and my heart goes out to Steve and his sister for their deep and poignant loss. You've always been so loving to your mother, Steve: It's been so touching and beautiful to see...and I know you must feel that gentle inner feeling that you've suddenly been left alone...
No matter how old we get, or what we've done, when a beloved mother passes, a huge mountain leaves this world...I know how huge it can feel...But I know you believe that our life resolves in the embrace of the arms of Christ; and so I hope your beloved mother is there, in bliss, looking down on you, and offering you comfort and guidance...may she guide you (said the poet) from mourning into morning, and may her love walk with you always.
My deepest prayers that your heart be healed, with all my sympathies and blessings, always...Mark

My heartfelt condolences to Steve and his family. Your words are beautiful, Mark, and bring comfort during this difficult time. The sunrise photo is also a powerful symbol of hope. Wishing them a lot of strength in the days ahead.
my friend this sure brings tears to my eyes my friend. i rather more today than yesterday of her passing am taking it hard. lost for words on what i what to say. me and my sister are heartbroken. beside the good lord Jesus and god, i lost the most important person in my life. thank you for this touching image my friend. and you are a true friend. more so than my friends here i've known all my life. thank you.

This is a very touching and beautiful tribute to Steve's mother.
My sincere condolences for this great loss, Steve, also to your sister. I hope that you can support each other and share your sorrow with each other. And, Mark, what a special dedication, of which I especially find the light in your wonderful photo so comforting in a symbolic way. "Ascending into the light", I find this thought in both images, this offers so much comfort. Also the luminous wings, like those of the most beautiful and rare butterfly, it also has a radiance of both great Love, and again 'ascending' to something much greater, to a light that we cannot yet see or imagine. But it's there. Where there is comfort, compassion, eternal peace, and a Love, an all-embracing Love.
These are beautiful images Mark...these images lift the spirit when one is down and gives new hope that tomorrow will be a bit better than today. Wishing Steve and his family better days ahead.
