What are you looking at?!
Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) is having "technical difficulties" in a breezy Metropolis day. No matter how impractical, this uniform version from "Superman: The Animated Series" (1992-1995) is still my all-time favorite. And yes, it is from last century! LOL
One interesting story about this uniform is how DC Comics got a backslash from some fans for having changed the original blue version. It's not really that different - they just changed the top to white, added gloves and a hairband, but it was enough to make fans complain. Ironically, opinions change over time, and this white version would later become beloved by fans around the world.

I love Supergirl, again, I wish that they had not Right Royally screwed up the movie. Sigh. As for this outfit becoming a fan favorite.....Yeah. Why would it not?????
I think the 2026 movie was the result of 2 things combined: First, James Gunn turns everything into a Guardians of the Galaxy spin off. He's 1-trick pony, that's all he knows. And secondly, they gave the script to an unexperienced writer who turned Kara into an unlikable person who forgot who she had been for decades. She got the Kara we knew and turned her into her unsufferable opposite. That's about it in a nutshell.
As for white outfit, DC got a beating from fans, so after a few episodes, it went back to the old one. I don't remember seeing it ever since. But I guess none of that matters anymore because nowadays Kara was put in a bodysuit that covers her entire body because activists thought she was showing too much skin. What's next? Maybe they will wrap her in a blanket?
In Scotland up in he highlands were men wear the great old Kilt with pride there is a saying " I don't know where the wind is coming from but as sure as hell I know where it's going to" Just thought it went well with the image
LOL Good one - I forgot about the Scottish Kilt! I have never seen it in person, but it always looked to me like the kind of heavy fabric that wouldn't lift with a mere wind draft that easily. I guess I would have to wear one to know! LOL
I can just picture a good movie scene:
She flies hurriedly to some event, having forgotten her panties, then a cop writes her a ticket with a heavy fine, then she zaps him with her laser eyes and melts his vehicle just for fun ;-)
One way or another, Kara has been flashing her panties over Metropolis for 67 years, so I guess people don't care anymore. LOL
The famous Kilt was not made by a Scots person but an English man in the south of England now us Irish have our own .......sorry to say I don't even know it's name neverhad one
Oh, so you are saying the kilt has originated in England? Wow, leaving learning - I had no idea! I am here in the Americas far, far away from all that, so it's like science fiction to me. If you haven't told me, I would likely never know. 😋
Well, maybe people of Metropolis wouldn't be bothered anymore, but I would definitely visit Metropolis for the ... ahem ... tourist attractions there.
