Description
Borders. Not an easy subject. If you scroll back through my gallery, you'll find an image called "Pillars of Hercules" — it's almost identical to this one, but the interpretation has changed. 25 years ago, the gaze was turned toward exploration, toward the courage to discover the unknown beyond the Pillars of Hercules, under a sci-fi sky. Today the pillars — cast in a glassy substance, blood-red in hue — mark a world that keeps growing smaller, its borders drawn ever sharper by human greed. It's a shame. I don't know if the world has gotten worse, or if I've simply grown older and more disillusioned — probably both.

I understand what you feel. This abstract is fascinating and superbly well done.
Probably is a combination of ageing and disillusionment. I find that, as I grow older, the world becomes more disappointing and degenerate.
The beauty of the abstract image contrasts starkly with the sentiment of the text. Very nicely done. :-)
