Description
In the dark and dusty room,
where motes of golden oblivion dance,
a beautiful fairy, with translucent and twisted wings,
squats upon the ticking of the old clock.
Black eyes, teeth like fishhooks,
she contemplates the thin beam of light that dares to enter.
She does not curse it, nor does she devour it:
she only watches it, still, with an ancient and sad hunger.
It is a kiss she will never be able to bite.
