Description
...was a species of dragonflies, the largest one that ever lived.
It lived during the Carboniferous period—that is, long before the dinosaurs. Consequently, from an evolutionary-historical perspective, the scenes I depict in the set—specifically those featuring pterodactyls—could never have actually taken place, as the two eras were separated by such a vast span of time!
It serves purely for dramatic effect—nothing more.

Grüß dich! Meganeura hatte damals eine Flügelspannweite von 75 - 80 cm...der hätte ich nicht in natura begegnen wollen (schauder!!!)
It would take many dragonflies to keep that pterodactyl well fed if it got hungry! :)
