Description
This is an old video I rendered in Bryce long ago, and I believe the very first one.
I thought it might be fun to see, even though the quality is quite poor.
I nearly forgot how much old stuff I still have stashed away in dark corners of my drives ... lol.

I had to watch this on my phone as my PC OS no longer lets me view movie files.
This is rather good though - especially as a first video. Very well done. :-)
That's odd. What happened with your OS? Sounds like your browser is blocking videos ... you could check settings, or just get another browser.
This has aged very well considering all the advances since 2002. I used to play with bryce a long time ago now. especially when I needed a background for Poser. Not sure why I ever stopped but its was the best software for landscape design of the day I thought. Never knew you could animate with it either...
Great to see this, thanks Max :)
I also installed Vue recently ... it's supposed to be far more advanced than Bryce ... but I haven't had the time or patience to master its complexity and quirks. (I guess I'm getting too old to spend time struggling with un-intuitive over-complicated new tech ... lol)
This is amazing
Thanks for the comment :-)
Very nicely done landscape and animation.
Thanks, Horo!
You did a great job with this animation, I almost expected King Kong to show up. Thank you for sharing this animation that shows your talent for creating it! :-)
Hehe ... adding King Kong at that time would have been way over my head, and my pay grade ... lol!
Very cool actually, and I even enjoyed the soundtrack.
Glad you liked it, Sydney.
I think I made that soundtrack with my old Yamaha keyboard, Soundblaster card and its MIDI app ... but I'm not 100% certain. The audio quality of that Soundblaster card was amazing ... way beyond CD quality ... but it's probably obsolete now.
It's sometimes surprising to find stuff you don't even remember you crossed.
It was a great turn of your islands! Wonder what the guys on the ship will do here.
I play now, but only time to time, with Flowscape. Supposed to be a game thing, but it does also 3D. Alas, it's no longer updated. And I don't use it often because it's almost limit with the memory of my comp (asks a little more than what is said).
For an old animation, it still looks good. Nice work.
Thanks!
I'm actually thinking of re-rendering it at a higher setting ... if I can find the original file, lol ;-)
