Description
Hi.
I'm here seldom, and I know we're in hard times, so I wanted to post something loving: Dance. (I worked with dancers as a musician, so these scenes are familiar to me.)
The first 3 images are AI, pretty unusual for me: My concepts entirely, but the realizations were AI. (I'd have loved to take photos, but go find couples dancing on the street in january, in Chicago!)
The final image was all me: Pen and Ink---though the orb is digital. Drawn from photos of ballet dancers. (Kinda hard to get a ballet dancer to hold that pose for you for, like, 2 hours...)
My upload Saturday didn't show up in my gallery, so if some of you missed it, you can find it in my "Profile" page for January 10. It's a strange fantasy tale, which is why I posted dance today.
Still commenting. Will get to you all. Have a wonderful day, and thanks as always for stopping by! Mark
(ps---I made them black and white because the final image was black and white...just matching them up)

All are great but the first is my favorite. They seem to be having a good time, happy image. Like the black and white style.
the first and third are the best of the set Mark. really enjoy this set you posted today my friend, does bring back memories of old B&W movies. keep them coming Mark.
These all have such a wonderful feel of "the good ol' days" when you could take your lady to a nightclub, or just dance on the sidewalk. And your pen-and-ink piece is just gorgeous! I never could get that technique down. Mine always looked like someone jostled the ink bottle! 😂
Hope all is going well for you, Mark! I'm gonna go check out your missing work.
These black and white dancing images all turned out excellent, they do a wonderful job at bringing back an era full of glamour. The last image does a nice job of mixing in so well with the other AI based ones...have a great day Mark. :-)
Music and Dance! The Best! Great images! Best wishes to you, dear Mark!
This is wonderful work!
This is from the days of "cheek to cheek", and I'm talking about the 1st image; even though you don't literally see it, their smile is almost breathtaking and there is something intimate about it.
In all 3 images it 's as if they are floating on cloud nine, swinging towards lightness in a carefree America.
In that respect, your pen drawing reminds me of the Statue of Liberty, how it triumphantly points to a liberating future full of light, a liberating light. Where our heavenly future lies. The drawing is the Apotheosis (the deification of the mortal)
Lol, what I see in my fantasy is that they were dancing at your street in Chicago in the middle of the night. Coincidentally, you couldn't sleep, so you got up and walked to your window, haha, your mouth fell open in surprise and admiration, well, and then you didn't see your bed again that night.
All together it gives so much joy, Mark. So thank you for that, my friend.
This is such a wonderful set. Graceful, loving, and elegant.
Looks simply wonderful dear Marc! Hope you are fine?!?
