Hi. I accidentally messed up last night, and messed up commenting too. Here's the 1st of the images I posted---winter walkers in my neighborhood. It's an old post but it's a pic of gratitude, which I feel towards all of you.

I've had a year of medical matters---none dire, but the cumulation of treatments and surgeries has really tired me out. I needed a rest. But---I'll comment on all of you over the next few weeks. It's always a pleasure.
Also, Steve (eekdog) told me about Artist of the Year voting (I'm included). Thank you Steve, I had no idea. If you vote, there are many artists worth voiting for...if you vote for me, I'm truly grateful; and if you don't vote in these things, I've always felt that anyone who poured their souls into creating---and then sharing it with the world---is an award winner right out of the box. (Sounds corny, but it's true.) In a way, we should all be honored. Thanks, Steve, you're always kind to all of us...
My deepest thanks to all of you for your support, inspiration, humor and love over these years...and a big happy new year to you all, with hopes for a much better 2026. And to all of you ailing, sick, and struggling etc, my deepest wishes for healing, love and inspiration. A sweet and blessed new year to you all, and let's hope for great light in 2026, Mark

sounds like a nightmare for that year long visits and treatments Mark. i can only imagine, hope you get rides there and back. and happy they were not dire or never will be.
love your daytime photo here, the blue hue shadows in your capture is brilliant. can't tell if the three are walking way or walking up , also the sunshine in between the groups of trees is super with the old building colors. A++ capture.

Yesterday I looked for your upload, I searched and searched, but now I understand why I couldn't find it, of course you had to sweep your doorstep first (that's a Dutch expression, to get rid of the misdeeds you had caused) :D
However, you did some really hard work in sweeping the sidewalk, which was definitely necessary to do, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see the walkers in the distance. So, thanks for this, Mark.
When I look at the image I see trees talking to each other, sharing their gossip with each other, maybe? A literally complicated conversation, but they will have a lot to tell each other about everything they see happening under their branches. For a moment I would like to be such a tree, but in a different season.
You've put so much depth into your work, I also love the autumn colour, an enlightened future for 2026 could it be symbolic; and the three people are on their way to that refreshing image, a trio full of confidence, of which 1 person seems to have an extra arm.
There is sun, there is balance, and refreshing colors of your city with tall buildings, which are illuminated by a winter sun. Yes, it is a photo with a lot of substance, and it gives many impressions to reflect, plus stimulate the imagination.
And then I discovered you at the AOY, it was a treat to see you there, so I had no doubts about making 'someone's circle' red. In fact, it was already colored. Could anyone here on Renderosity read minds??
Everything you wish, may it happen in 2026, about health, don't worry; this year so much has been 'tinkered' with you, so that you are assured of a fantastic next year. For your heart let it walk on beautiful roses, without thorns of course, may your soul feel warm from love overloaded. God bless, Jacomina :)
Mark, you have my most heartfelt wishes for the new year to bring a better set of experiences than the ones you had this year. Every year is different and with it, the promise of better times ahead. I am optimistic that better times will come your way.
I am happy for you that you are in the running for a shot at best artist of the year award. Sometimes the recognition alone for being chosen is in itself an accomplishment and for that alone I am happy for you and wish you all the best. I owe a debt of gratitude for the great support you have given me in leaving such wonderful comments about my work in my animations. At times I do not feel that I deserve the compliments that you leave behind but nevertheless I am grateful to you for leaving them.

Oh, this is so beautiful, Mark! I'm no fan of snow and cold weather, but you have a knack for making it look like Paradise! And may you and yours have a wonderful 2026 - you deserve it after all you've had to deal with!
I can certainly relate on the medical stuff. Even the non-dire stuff tires one out pretty quickly. Jo had a wicked wisdom tooth extracted yesterday, and I had minor nasal / sinus surgery a couple weeks ago. This "getting older" thing is not for the faint of heart!
You're definitely getting my vote! I do hope some really positive things happen in 2026. We've had enough insanity in '25.

I'm late, sorry. This is a cool image, I like the bright snow with the dark shadowy people in the distance. The depth is awesome.
