Description
I've started a new project for the new year! (Don't worry, I'm still working on my Star Saga/Wars project too. I just get bored if I work on only one type of thing for too long. I like to bounce around projects.) This is like that Star Wars project except this one is for Fan Art of all the other things I'm a fan of. Like Star Trek! Also, Indiana Jones, Doctor Who, Marvel, various video games, and more. I'll post some more of my characters that I'm in the process of creating for this project soon, but let's start with the lovely Lt. Uhura of the original Star Trek as portrayed by Nichelle Nichols.
What do you think of the face morph that I sculpted for her? I think it's fairly close, but something is off somewhere, and I just can't figure out what that is. Can anyone help?? I'd really appreciate some feedback. :)

I think the start is good. The nose (which has a right curve) should probably be less high. Looking at old photos of Nichelle, you can see that the eyes should be further apart and smaller. The project looks good to me. :)

Thank you for the helpful links and comments. I'll work more on her face soon. :)
Looks like her. Great artwork
Thanks!
Very well done!
Thank you!
She definitely resembles Nichelle - you got pretty darn close. this is one of those things you have to keep coming back to and tweaking here, tweaking there. I've found getting a likeness is pretty challenging. I have several in the pipeline.
Yeah, they are never 100%. I usually get frustrated after a while and take a few "artistic liberties" then call it done. LOL I have noticed that incorporating asymmetry helps a LOT.
