Here's another Iray render from my upcoming storks set... the rarest stork in the world, Storm's Stork, with a couple Asian Wooly-necked Storks in the background along with a Pacific Reef Heron (Shorebirds v4) and Australasian Bittern (Shorebirds v1). There's also an Australian Tiger (NW Dragonfly) and Pacific Herring (NW Fish) in the image. Storm's Stork is the rarest stork in the world with only 300-1750 left remaining. The bulk of the world population of this stork occurs on Borneo; occurring in Kalimantan (Indonesia), Swarak, Sabah (Malaysia) and Brunei. It is also found throughout Sumatra, although its range there was previously considered to be restricted to the south east. It's endangerment has been cause by the landscape-scale removal of swamp and plains-level forests for plantations (principally oil palm, but also rubber). It feeds on small fish, frogs, aquatic insect larvae, and sometimes earthworms. Within the same range of the Storm's Stork is the Asian Wooly-necked Stork. Its range also extends to India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Indonesia. This species is very similar and closely related to Storm's Stork, and at one time, Storm's stork was considered a sub-species of the stork. The Asian Wooly-necked Stork is considered "Near Threatened" due to habitat destruction. It feeds on fish, frogs, toads, snakes, lizards, large insects and larvae, crabs, mollusks and marine invertebrates.
