Moving from the red area of the boiler room, past the quote from a first passenger, you found yourself in a small, cold lit room. All that hung in the centre was the crow's nest bell. Used for time keeping, warnings and alarms on the Titanic, the lookout rang it three times with the warning "Iceberg Right Ahead!" Turning around the little room a chill actually went down my back. All you saw on all the walls were warnings from other ships about ice, icebergs and being trapped by ice. And yet, despite the warnings, somehow the Titanic was unable to avoid its fate. Strangely enough, going through this exhibit, even though I knew the Titanic's fate, getting to learn about the ship, what went into it and who were on it - somehow, my brain was still thinking that maybe their fate would somehow change from what happened. Reaching this room I could feel dread as I knew what was coming even though my brain was still hoping it would not. Odd as I was experiencing it as if it was happening right then as opposed to seeing something from the past. The exhibit did a very good job in immersing you right into it. #Titanic #Exhibit
