Nice view , for reasons un known to the public all our water ways are becoming green, when I was but a child you could go to the river and make a day off it now days you would not allow your dogs to swim in them

Hmm, that's a bit concerning! Do they do any water tests in the area? This park that this photo is in, they do water testing, noting increase in salt content for example with winter runoff or if one pond gets more metals in it than another etc, and then trying to use that data to link up to the cause and then figure out how to reduce that kind of pollution and contaminants.

That lake that takes up so much of Northern Ireland is always on the News theses days the fish well what is left of them are being killed with the green I just don't know what it is, Our so called Fresh water well you can guess where it comes from, granted they say that we are getting it in a clean state, but I would not dream of having a swim within those waters
So sad there is obviously a problem but nothing is being done (or not enough) to tackle the issue. :( Water and fish are important!
A few years ago they came to test the water in our home, a man entered the shower room and turned the shower on and watch the water flow never took a sample but when we got the report sheet it claimed that the water tested OK how did they test without taken a sample It's a bit like my Heart doctor he give me an detailed exam over the phone and the report I got from the hospital stated everything OK now I have had quite a number of heart attacks over the last 20 years
That's terrible! I'm so sorry to hear about all that surface work that's been going on. Not sure why they even bother if they aren't going to do it right
