To all my friends and fans of TNA here at Renderosity:
Grab a cup of coffee...
It’s time for me to take a break for a while. It has come to a point in my personal life, where I am on a daily basis unable to spend the time to create my art in a relaxed and unhurried manner.
Lately I have been overwhelmed with multiple issues that seem to pop up daily. I get one problem / issue resolved and within a couple hours, something else appears to replace it. Things like this:
Saturday evening I tried to place an order online. When I clicked on the “payment” button, I was greeted by a cryptic error message. I tried three more times, getting the same error every time. I contacted the merchant who told me my credit card had been denied.
Sunday morning when I checked my email I had four “fraud” alerts informing me that my CC number was being used to try and place an order. I called my CC company to find out what was going on. After unsuccessfully navigating the $%^&&%$% AI phone-bot system, I finally spoke with someone who informed me that the phone number I used did not have my name attached to it. What?
We tried Jolene’s phone number. Same thing. After another 30 – 40 minutes on the phone while they tried to figure things out, I was told I’d have to get with my phone carrier to get things straightened out.
I have Comcast Xfinity as my carrier. They have an office a few miles down the road, so rather than fight another automated AI robot, and ultimately get connected with someone I can barely understand I decided to drive to their store / service center.
I informed them of my problem. The young lady that took my case came back after about 15 minutes and informed me that she couldn’t figure out what was going on, nor could anyone there. I politely replied that I was paying for their services and “We don’t know..” was not an acceptable answer.
For the next TWO HOURS I sat there while they attempted to resolve the problem. I spoke with the store manager. I spoke with a couple of other agents. No one could solve my problem.
So…. Monday will start with a visit to my bank’s nearby office (I know the General Manager there) to see what can be done. Then calls to two or three other places regarding the phone # not being in my name.
And so it goes.
This continuing nonsense every day, added to all the absolutely moronic nonsense going on here in the USA (and the entire world) has basically kicked my creative motivation in the short and curlies. On the rare occasions I can actually sit down in front of Poser, Photoshop, or whatever, I barely get through 5 – 10 minutes without some kind of interruption.
In addition to all this, I’m experiencing a few health issues that need attention. Nothing serious (I hope), just annoying.
I know this is a long epistle and boo-hoo session, but it’s time for me to step away for a while and get my head together and flush away all the poo floating around in there.
I am NOT leaving Renderosity, and I WILL be working on the TNA story whenever life gives me a few minutes to do so. Hopefully once I get through all this crap I’ll be able to get the story moving again. Wish me luck. Hopefully, I’ll be back around mid October.

Gosh, Rod, that's sad to hear. All I can add is that you need to be extra cautious online as the scammers, fraudsters and hackers are more clever than ever, trying to steal anything they can. There's lots of info online on how to protect yourself.
And I'm also taking a break from posting new stuff.

Oh, I know - it's a jungle out there. I've actually become pretty good at deep diving to check companies and other stuff out.
We all at times just need to take a break and catch our breath. I will be back, and hope to catch up with you after both of our breaks! 👍
i have many myself my friend, but seems you have more, i hope and pray for you and Jo. sounds like scammers have gotten to your card info. that is really weird, had a similar issue like your 3 years ago, they destroyed my credit score by gaining all my info inc. ss#. hope things work out and see when you can. keeping you in thoughts. .
Thankfully, it wasn't scammers / hackers. Apparently someone at my bank made a mistake with my CC account. I stopped by my bank substation today, and my friend Kimberly (the general manager) had it fixed in about 15 minutes. What a relief!

It's almost like everything that's supposed to make our lives easier just ends up making t worse. I'm missing the old days more and more.

All these gee-whiz technologies are fine when they work, but create big pains in the proverbial when they don't! It seems as though a lot of things were much simpler years ago. First, I wanted to say that these three girls are cute and cool. Then I wondered why you showed them from behind. Then I read, or rather translated, your text. It upset me. I can't think of any really appropriate words to describe it right now. If I say that I know these things and that I encounter them every day, it won't help you either. I think it's a good idea to take a break. To pause, to change perspectives, to recover, and to heal. Really sorry to hear you went through all that - it's bad enough running into problems, it's worse when nobody seems to know what is going on or how to help you even though it's their job to do exactly that...but I'm glad to hear it eventually got sorted and hopefully you won't be going through any like that ever again!
Image you created is also very beautiful by the way :) You nailed the lighting especially. And anytime you need to take a break, never feel guilty about it. We all need those.
