I could write a freaking book..... I worked in the electronics industry for many years, and had many, many conversations with engineers, designers, etc. They all told me the same thing: "We are far too dependent on other countries, especially China, for our manufacturing and production of our electronics. We design it, and get paid peanuts. Then our designs and advanced technology is sent overseas (to our potential adversaries) because they can manufacture it cheaply, so we can make a decent profit, and our investors can live in mansions with three or four swimming pools, a fleet of Cadillacs, Mercedes' and hot and cold running Playboy Playmates."

Meanwhile our "partners" are adding their own sneaky little chips that can surreptitiously send them all kinds of intel on us. And we wonder why it's so common and easy for hackers to take control of our computers, Ipads, phones, and other toys. And drain our bank accounts.
