Description
Of all the subatomar Particles that travel Space, the Tachyons ("Taccions", the Fast Ones) belong to the most exotic.
What they are is not quite clear, Neutrinos, maybe. They travel faster than the Speed od Light and have strange Attributes therefore: You cannot see them coming, because they overtake their own optical Image.
As such an Particle have past by, You can see along its Trajectory both, its Past and its Future. Due to this it is said we wil be able to "phone" to the Past or Future, once we have learned to imprint Patterns on them. It wil be very interesting to talk to the Grandparents as young People! ;)!

Not quite scientifically accurate, I suspect, but makes a good story which illustrates a rather delightful image. :-)
You may be quire right, because they emit only in Materia, but the Rest of You Remark is also correct! :)
Apparently there were, or will be, some particle collisions in the top of the pic
You have a sharp Eye! I spead some Matter in the upper Area, because Tachyons only emit Light while passing Matter! The other Lights are only Representations of Tachyons! Got me!
