Description
Just a few pics from my cross-country trip by train.
The first big stop was several hours in Chicago.

Long ago I really messed-up on nearly half of these photos by deleting the original noisy, crappy scans, thinking they couldn't be improved any further.
Later I realized I could have improved them greatly -- but only if I had the original noise profile!

I love how Chicago is built on stilts to protect from the flodding. Those trains shots are awesome too.
One of the best things of being further down the train, you can take a shot of the front of it from the window. What river is that?
That's the Colorado river. Saw many rafters on it ... apparently rafting is very popular there.
It's been sooo long since I rode on a train. I think I was 8 or 9... This looks like it would be a lot of fun! I may have to look into a train trip.
You got some great photos of your adventure!
If you're not in a rush then a train trip is far more relaxing, comfortable, fun, and the food is better. And you can arrange stops staggered across different trains (unless they changed that flexibility).
